Job Description
FOX Sports is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Executive Assistant to support the Executive Vice President of Content. This position will be an integral part of the day-to-day operations of the organization and is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and ambitious individual with a passion for the sports industry. You will provide support to the EVP and will build collaborative relationships with other executives and assistants throughout the company, in addition to traditional administrative duties in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will effectively balance changing demands, a dynamic schedule and will work well under pressure.
Responsibilities
Serve as ambassador of the EVP handling incoming calls, greeting visitors and all situations with discretion, diplomacy, urgency and poise.
Manage calendar including meetings, calls and events and all corresponding logistics (scheduling, catering, preparation of meeting materials, etc.).
Act as liaison with other internal administrative departments and external contacts to execute assignments.
Handle complex domestic and international travel arrangements and process related expense reports for the EVP.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key contacts among corresponding key businesses.
Manage frequent projects while prioritizing conflicting needs and changing deadlines.
General office duties such as mail, ordering supplies, copying, and processing invoices, preparing routine correspondence, documents and spreadsheets as needed.
Qualifications
An undergraduate degree is required and an MBA is a plus.
Minimum of one year experience working in sports or entertainment.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize, organize and establish administrative procedures and work under pressure.
Ability to handle confidential information and interact with high-level executives.
Professional presence, good judgment and the ability to anticipate needs.
Highly organized, detail oriented and a problem solver.
Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Division Description
FS1 launched on August 17, 2013 in approximately 90 million homes and boasts nearly 5,000 hours of live event, news and original programming annually. The channel has several pillar sports: college basketball and football, MLB, NASCAR, NFL (ancillary programs), international soccer, Bundesliga, UFC, Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) and USGA. Major events televised on FS1 include the U.S. Open, MLB Postseason, the FIFA 2018 and 2022 World Cup and the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2019. Original programs include: SKIP AND SHANNON: UNDISPUTED; SPEAK FOR YOURSELF; THE HERD WITH COLIN COWHERD; GARBAGE TIME WITH KATIE NOLAN; NASCAR RACE HUB; MLB WHIPAROUND; THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER; UFC TONIGHT; INSIDE THE BIG EAST and more. FOX Sports GO, an authenticated live streaming platform that serves as the channel's digital extension, is carried on a number of connected devices including: Apple TV, Android TV, Roku and XBOX among others. The app offers more than 1,100 live games and events from cross FOX Sports, FS1, FS2 and FOX Sports' 22 regional sports networks, as well as scores, highlights, news, stats and analysis.
