The Technology Strategy team strives to deliver solutions to Disney ABC Television Group business clients leveraging innovative technological business strategies. To facilitate the development process we are looking for a creative, collaborative, and results-driven Continuous Integration & Release Management Specialist who will lead the release management life cycle. Responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and supporting a continuous integration and release management process to insure timely and quality deployments to the business.
Responsibilities
• Set-up, maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/ integration infrastructure
• Create and maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments including Java/J2EE, .Net, IIB and IBM BPM
• Work with Software Engineers to understand code branches, merges of various systems
• Write build and deployment scripts via Jenkins
• Support CI/CD tools integration/ operations/ change management, and maintenance
• Support full automation of CI/ Testing using Selenium
• Develop policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers
• On-board/ train and support developers from source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, deployment based on tools usage and policies, standards
• Enable Development Operations by moving code from Development/ Test to Staging and Production
• Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline
• Develop and document release process
Basic Qualifications
• Agile Software Development and Management methods and ability to excel within an ''Agile'' environment (i.e. user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.)
• Experience with JIRA
• Experience with New Relic and Service Now
• Experience in one of the following scripting languages: SQL, Java, Python, and JavaScript. PHP
• Expertise with build automation tools – Jenkins preferred.
• Experience and understanding of AWS deployments
• Experience with: Systems level configuration management tools and creating automating infrastructure/ code deployment and management, J2EE application development experience/ scripting, J2EE-stack application servers ( i.e. JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, etc.), and Microsoft .Net
• Build-time dependency management ( Maven, Ivy), Unit testing and code-coverage tools and Functional test automation techniques and tools
• Knowledge of source code control management systems and configuration management ( i.e. TFS, SVN, Subversion, GitHub, etc) and code branching/merging strategies
• Experience with SQL and relational databases administration ( i.e. Oracle, MySQL)
• Experience with Linux and creating Virtual Machines, experience with VMware
• Experience with Selenium
• Experience with IBM IIB, BPM and Process Center a plus
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture and SOA versioning a strong plus
• Good understanding of Quality Control and Test Automation in Agile-based Continuous Integration environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Automated deployment scripting
• Automated build scripting
• Source code management – branching, merging, trouble shooting
• Automated system test harness and script development
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask; can set priorities and follow a timeline
• Deep knowledge of release methodologies
• Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
• Ability to work flexible hours
Required Education
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or another Technical field, or equivalent work experience
