DRG Intelligent Computer Concepts, Inc. (Torrance, CA) is seeking an individual who can fulfill a BD/DVD Pre-Production Specialist position. This position entails working at our entertainment client's facility in Century City, CA.
Overview:
The BD/DVD Pre-Production Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining all bills of materials for all physical media formats including DVD, BD, and UHD. Organizes and prioritizes their daily activities to ensure all bill of materials are set up accurately in a timely manner for product to go into production. Candidates must be extremely detail oriented, coachable and able to use analytical skills to solve complex problems.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Effectively coordinate with multiple internal departments to create Bill of Materials
Create and maintain parts and materials for thousands plus titles including ongoing new release titles, catalog titles, and customer-specific releases
Conduct quality control of all finished products to ensure error-free product
Review and update as required bills of material, as offers change over time, including product expirations and destruction of expired bill of material components.
Investigates identified implementation issues and processes feedback to update bill of material files.
Troubleshoot internal system set up issues in all aspects regarding bill of materials, packaging and manufacturing purchases.
Accurately acquire, distribute, and maintain parts and part numbers from manufacturers to disseminate across various departments.
Assist manufacturing group/customer service in properly identifying item numbers that share masters/disc art that can be reworked vice versa.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives streamlining system functions of the bill of materials.
Read, understand and assume responsibility for performance of all procedures, and assignments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Skills:
A minimum 3 to 5 years working in an Operations setting.
College degree or equivalent work experience.
10-key
Exposure to information systems: JDE, AS400, and Siebel.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Detail oriented and a strong analytical thinker.
Customer service and action driven with a sense of urgency to handle issues in a timely manner.
Possesses a high level of ethics, common sense and accountability.
Must be able to manage multiple projects and duties at one time.
Problem solving analysis and willingness to take the lead and make responsible decisions.
Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers and suppliers. Must be a team player!
The ability to adapt to new ideas, changes in responsibilities, and challenges.
