Freelance Paid Internship
The world premer of 'Alik' is a cold-war era play with biographical elements which follows Marina Nikolayevna throughout her romance with Lee Harvey Oswald and the discoveries she makes when unraveling his mysterious, unsettling past.
Rehearsals start January 13th through March 6th. Play opens March 16th and runs through April 2018.
The Stage Manager will be in charge of the following:
Creating and organizing all correspondence between creative teams, cast, production teams and outside entities, creating and organizing script breakdowns/ weekly rehearsal schedules and transcribing and distributing rehearsal notes when needed, creating and organizing a prop list, calendar of conflicts, contact sheet, creating and organizing prodution meeting minutes and setting up/ resetting the rehearsal space for rehearsals, running the sound and lighting for technical rehearsals and performances.
Stipends range from $400-$500 for the project depending on the experience of the applicant. We are a small company and encourage students and applicants with limited experience to apply. Ultimately, we would like to offer this position as a ''paid internship'' opportunity and contribute to the growth of young theatre artists in the LA area.
