Immediately seeking submissions and currently interviewing for production interns to a producing team on the development of a new immersive play featuring a celebrity chef. Seeking a select number of individuals interested in developing skills in immersive theater, new play development, arts administration, production, marketing, and fundraising. Must be a junior or senior in college or graduate student with previous experience in production, PR, or food service to apply. Must be able to commit at least 2-3 full weekdays (10am-6pm). College credit is available. Ideal candidates may have the opportunity to be considered for long-term positions with the producer upon the completion of the internship.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for an entrepreneurial thinker and emerging producing artist. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by an established and critically acclaimed producer and artist, develop invaluable connections, and gain hands-on experience in production. The internship provides training for cold calls, organizing databases for fundraising, communicating with donors, a front row seat to the development of new plays, and the opportunity to be part of a risk-taking project.
Ideal candidates are creative problem solvers, enthusiastic team players, trustworthy, and hungry for mentorship, with excellent communication and organizational skills, confidence and comfort introducing themselves to valued donors at events, and are interested in event and theater production. Must be able to come with a positive attitude, and a healthy sense of humor. . This is a high responsibility job with an expectation that you bring your 'A' game.
Tasks will include administrative duties, including but not limited to office organization, physical errands, updating databases with celebrity contacts, grant research, Mailchimp, sponsorships proposals, cold calls to potential donors and partners, and moreGeneral knowledge Mailchimp, Squarespace, social media platforms, Excel, Word, an understanding of New York and NYC transportation is required.
