Full Time Unpaid Internship
Department: Corporate Partnerships
Job Title: Reds on Radio Intern
Reports To: Corporate Account Services Manager
Term: April 2018 – End of Season
Commitment: Approximately 70 Game Days (out of 81 home games) and approximately 0-20 office hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to assist with all of the steps in the Reds on Radio process, from start to finish. This will include:
• Provide hospitality in Reds on Radio Affiliate Booth.
• Sending promotional items to Reds affiliates.
Interns are required to work in the Reds Corporate Partnerships office on a rotating basis. Office duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Responding to mailings.
• Coordinating all things related to the radio affiliates.
• Additional miscellaneous duties as needed.
Experience, Education and Licensure:
• Intern should have a major in Business, Marketing, Communications, Radio Broadcasting and/or Sports Management; a GPA of 2.5 or above and should be a junior, senior, or recent graduate.
• One prior internship or work-related experience is preferred.
• Intern must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• A background in radio, research and/or hospitality is preferred.
Requirements:
• Intern must present self in a professional manner to interact with fans of all ages, sponsors, game day guests and on occasion, players.
• Must have the ability to handle and coordinate large groups of people in a secure and sensitive area.
• Must have a flexible work schedule that will allow intern to work nights, many daytime hours, weekends and holidays.
Work Environment:
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment however employee may have ''game day'' responsibilities where the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
• Hours may include nights, weekends and holidays.
Please Note:
• This is a seasonal, internship opportunity and no benefits will be provided.
• Internships will last a maximum of 40 weeks.
Expectations:
• Adhere to Cincinnati Reds Organization Policies and Procedures.
• Act as a role model within and outside the Cincinnati Reds Organization.
• Performs duties as workload necessitates.
• Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
• Meet Department productivity standards.
