Responsibilities As a Producer for CNBC's Halftime Report you will be responsible for pitching, developing, writing and producing business news and general news content.
• Produce original news content, primarily for broadcast but also for the web, including research, conducting interviews, writing and editing scripts, line-producing, field producing and shooting, and overseeing editing.
• Book interviews and conduct pre-interviews with show guests.
• Producer is expected to both pitch story ideas and work on assigned stories developed by the editorial team.
• Work with Standards & Legal Team to ensure Editorial Standards of all segments.
• Work closely with the executive producer. Qualifications/Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of editorial experience.
• Strong journalistic writing skills, research skills, and editorial judgment.
• Must be proficient in Outlook and iNews and Google Docs.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.

• Must be willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends, often with short notice. Desired Characteristics • Knowledge of stratus, i-news.
• Knowledge of non-linear editing systems including Avid.
