Responsibilities This person will be responsible for the creation, development and execution of a video programming strategy for Digital. The Video Unit lead will work closely with the Digital Executive Editor and other members of the senior management team to support the organization's priorities while collaborating with TV show teams to achieve digital and cross-platform objectives. The Executive Producer will draw on digitally-native tools as well as considerable creative and production capacity to deliver a full range of content, from highly-produced original shows to fresh, out-of-the-box concepts that can challenge storytelling conventions.
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
• Develop a programming strategy to guide the growth of digital video footprint
• Oversee the conception, commission, editing, packaging and delivery of original digital clips, stories and shows
• Guide the curation of broadcast television content for Digital's various platforms and distribution channels
• Work with outside partners to create and develop co-produced, branded content
• Innovate through deployment of data visualization, infographics and text
• Liaise with business units to create multi-platform, high-value branded digital content
• Liaise with Business Day shows to ensure audience encounter an integrated multi- platform experience
• Support prime time programming lineup
• Develop metrics to define success Qualifications/Requirements The successful candidate must possess demonstrable skill at creating highly shareable, compelling content and demonstrate an appreciation of Digital's editorial voice and brand. The candidate will be skilled at guiding video through all phases of production from conception to post-production and online distribution. He/she will have proven ability to strategize and innovate around package presentation and user interface. This person will draw on digitally-native tools as well as considerable creative and production capacity to deliver a full range of content, from highly-produced original shows to fresh, out-of-the-box concepts that can challenge storytelling conventions.
Required Qualifications:
• 10 years experience in journalism within television or digital
• 8 years experience in news digital video production
• 5 years experience in social media video strategy Desired Characteristics Desired Characteristics :
• Must possess demonstrable skill and successful track-record at creating highly shareable, compelling content and demonstrate an appreciation of Digital's editorial voice and brand.
