Bipolar Id is a leading full service Virtual Reality production company located in Los Angeles.
We are looking for an Unreal engine developer. Whether you are just out of school or had worked professionally or ran a team of artists, we are open to all levels.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop tools, pipeline and workflows for utilizing game engine technology for VR and other interactive platforms.
Work closely with the CG teams to integrate game engine tools into existing VFX pipeline.
Work closely with the CG team to transfer and optimize existing 3D assets, environments, animations and effects into the engine.
Collaborate with the VFX team to solve issues around building successful real-time effects for interactive experiences, experiential spaces, etc.
Work closely with the teams to scope the workload for upcoming projects.
Provide technical supervision and provide support on multiple projects to meet the deadlines.
Requirements
High level experience with Unreal Engine and/or Unity3D with proven lead role on 2 or more shipped titles.
Fluency in C++ and/or C#.
Visual Effects, Computer Science, or Computer Graphics based degree is a plus.
Deep understanding of project production stage & technical pipeline.
Excellent physics skills.
Good software engineering skills; ability to write code.
Experience using versioning control systems.
Able to self-direct, prioritize and rapidly prototype iterations.
Able to think creatively and outside the box in different situations where improvisation is the answer.
Ability to collaborate and communicate with the team and producers under tight deadlines.
Solid organization skills.
