The A E Networks Brand Marketing Department is responsible for the development and execution of all shows and brand-based marketing content for A&E, HISTORY and Lifetime. We're currently building an in-house production team and looking for a Senior Creative Producer.
As the Senior Creative Producer, you will define, scope and own projects from pitch to delivery, as well as assist brands on individual live-action needs. Using your experience and contacts you will recommend the best/most efficient execution for each piece of content, as well as oversee the production end-to-end. You'll be flexible and enthusiastic about collaborating with our brand teams to develop and evolve creative, while having a rolodex of line-producers, directors and production companies to reach out to at a moment's notice. You're someone who is comfortable handling creative needs as well as execution. Depending on the specific skills of the candidate, there may be opportunities to own projects creatively down the road.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Own assigned projects from concepting to delivery
• Step in as-needed to support brand teams on individual live-action content where necessary
• Source, engage, foster relationships and supervise production companies as well as freelance line-producers, directors and production managers on a per-project basis.
• Partner with the brand teams to develop and build projects out creatively in concepting, pitching, scripting & storyboarding
• Manage in-house production team
• Be the point person between internal and external teams
• Communicate effectively and support both experienced and less experienced directors & producers.
• Ok with working weekends and late nights during production windows with an ability to handle high volumes of complex projects and tasks.
• Comfortable traveling with short notice.
CHARACTERISTICS
• Support head of department but be able to work independently, making smart decisions, and thinking strategically with an attention to detail.
• Possess strong organizational skills and effective time management to communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
• Have an ability to mold well with different personalities and interface without side talent, executives, and show-producers.
• Be a problem solver, be able to think on your feet to present creative and execution solutions when restricted by time and/or budget
• Be a strong team player, vocal without being overbearing, and with a creative eye for producing visual material.
Qualification Requirements
• 6 years in a broadcast production role with a portion in the field with experience overseeing projects from start to finish.
• Display a deep understanding of the creative process/pre-production, concepting, pitching, scripting & storyboarding
• Post producing/supervising experience including edit, animation, sound, finishing etc.
• Experience working side-by-side with creative leads and commercial directors to guide, support and contribute to the creative process
• Experience in personnel management– with production teams, creatives and crews
• Experience in pitching concepts/budgets/ideas to executive level personnel
