POSITION SUMMARY
The Post Scheduling coordinator is responsible to the Post Scheduling administrator and participates in logistical oversight of the post process, facilitating the smooth operation and successfully executing workflows surrounding all of the facets of production required. This candidate serves as direct liaison between the brands and provides support for all Producers in Post Production of media imports, content scheduling, booking, and coordinating Stamford Post supervised/unsupervised edit sessions. Part of the coordinator's function is to keep the numerous brands involved in the post process on schedule and working efficiently toward completion. To that end, you are expected to handle minor emergencies with grace and to quickly deliver creative solutions to complicated problems. Special projects across all networks will be coordinated on an as needed basis from Post Scheduling Manager. Most of all, this role demands an individual that is highly organized, diligent, and able to see the big picture while maintaining a solid grasp of the smaller details. This position schedules work for the Production Team to expedite production by performing essential duties and responsibilities which include but are not limited to:
- Create, maintain, and update the network post plans.
- Assist in managing the operations list which includes; building, tracking, and actualizing pertinent production information.
- Work collaboratively with Post Scheduling team to coordinate and fulfill all edit support requests.
-Purge media as needed in support of Post Production.
- Fulfill and track ingest requests for internal recipients and ensure media is readily available for edit.
- Provide support and a presence to Post Production after standard business hours.
-Act as a liaison between Post Production and Broadcast Partner to support the scheduling needs of the client.
- Provide clients with the most updated information regarding the status of media.
- Track AEN technical resources and employees in support of scheduling technical evaluation of media.
- Coordinate swing shift with Post Scheduling team for full AM and PM coverage.
- Coordinate and schedule special shipments.
- Provide any backup administrative functions for the Post Scheduling team.
- Coordinate and schedule tape/file based work orders in operations list.
- Coordinate asset usage when requested by more than 1 person or team.
- Deliver and maintain the staging of assets shipped from our facilities for distribution to respective recipients.- Manage and distribute any on-site stock needs for internal clients.
- Monitor and input edit session reporting closures.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the duplication processes.
- Maintain a working knowledge of file and or tape based formats.
- Late Evenings and weekends availability crucial to future coverage.
REQUIREMENTS
BA degree or equivalent desired. 3-5 year experience in post/television production required. Experience with production workflow and scheduling tools desired. One must have excellent people skills, communications skills, and be detail-oriented to support multiple internal teams in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Outlook required.
