Summer Intern - Film Distribution

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

7th Art Releasing is looking for an intern! We are an award-winning, full-service distributor with a strong focus on documentaries. Our films have earned Emmys, Oscars, Independent Spirit Awards, and have screened at top festivals including Sundance and SXSW.

We handle all aspects of distribution-from festival to theatrical, digital, and broadcast. As an intern, you'll learn the nuts and bolts of independent film distribution and gain insight into how impactful stories are launched into the world. Based in Northeast Los Angeles, our reach spans the globe-and our interns play a part in making that happen.

Intern Responsibilities May Include:
• Research & market preparation (including film festivals and non-theatrical venues)
• Marketing and outreach through traditional campaigns
• Asset management and organization

Details:
Start Date/Season: Flexible (can begin anytime)
Duration: Minimum 3 months
Schedule: Minimum 2 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday); 6 hours per day
Location: On-site (Northeast Los Angeles)

Preferred Qualifications:
• College credit preferred
• Strong computer, internet, and general office skills
• A great attitude, self-motivation, and a genuine interest in independent film and documentaries
• No prior experience required, but fluency in English is necessary
