101 Studios is seeking a positive, service oriented, highly motivated and collaborative Senior Human Resources Manager/Generalist to join their team. The position has broad responsibilities, including: employee relations, recruitment, leave of absence and return to work programs, performance management, workers compensation, labor relations, and administration and compliance of applicable laws and policies, plus other duties as needed. The right individual can work autonomously, while being proactive and anticipatory with sound judgment in a variety of situations. He/she should have an energetic approach with the goal to manage multiple priorities in a diverse, fast-paced, team environment. The Senior HR Manager/Generalist will report to the Head of Human Resources and work directly with executive leadership and staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Administer all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from on-boarding though growth and/or separation. Serve as an accessible resource for all employees.
• Develop and communicate effective employee relations strategies and retention initiatives to foster and promote a culture of excellence.
• Partner with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs.
• Drive HR process improvement, company trainings and communications to ensure consistency of all policies, practices, and operations.
• Leverage HR expertise and best practices to manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct employee investigations and manage through resolution.
• Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the human resources functions. Ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.
• Full cycle recruitment across the organization
• Analyze HR metrics and provide regular reports to business leaders, Identify trends and recommend strategies for improvement.
• Manage company organization charts, employee files and maintain job descriptions.
• Analyze compensation and benefits trends and partner with HR team to maintain and update strategies.
• Manage other employee-related work, projects, and events as needed.
Requirements:
• 5+ years professional HR experience in TV/Film/Production environments.
• Demonstrated track record in all HR functions, with a variety of daily issues, including: worker's compensation, independent contractors, overtime, meal and rest periods, immigration, unemployment insurance, discrimination (per state and federal), pregnancy, disability (ADA), age, gender, diversity, family and medical leave (state and federal), sexual harassment training, and EEOC reporting.
• Knowledge of current employment law, investigations, guidance, and policy development (CA and NY preferred).
• Experience with employee coaching to address sensitive employee matters and performance concerns.
• Prior experience in designing, implementing and scaling HR compliance and employee relations processes, policies, and systems.
• Experience identifying and communicating business and organizational needs.
• Prior experience interfacing with all levels of employees in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
• Strong written and verbal communication. High EQ and calm under pressure. Uses a consultative approach to teamwork.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
