Intern - Marketing and Promotions

This is a Part Time Paid Internship

Santa Monica boutique entertainment and marketing promotions agency specializing in third party promotional outreach for entertainment and video games, seeks an intern to assist with a variety of support tasks.

Clients of agency include: major studios, video game makers and up-and-coming brands. Position is a paid internship (minimum wage) and/or credit.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist office personnel with daily tasks: bulk mailings, answer phones, etc.
• Placing outbound calls to research brands and agencies to find and/or confirm appropriate contacts
• Assisting with in-house database: including data entry, data compilations and list pulls
• Managing client records and logging client notes in database
• Building and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
• Compiling research reports
• Creating PowerPoint presentations
• Researching and tracking information from public sources including industry news sources

Experience:

• Some agency and/or marketing experience helpful but not required

Skills and requirements:

• Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with File Maker helpful but not required
• Able to manage time effectively and execute time sensitive projects
• Highly organized, detail oriented and the ability to multi-task
• Comfortable conducting outbound calls to find information
• Comfortable working in a small office environment
• A team player who has a strong interest in learning about Entertainment Promotions & Marketing
