Fig Media Inc. is a goal-oriented, innovative business with talented artists, designers and multimedia specialists. We specialize in deejay, video production & post-production, photography, and web design. We also provide opportunities to interns with backgrounds in business administration, marketing, and event production.
Currently, we are hiring highly motivated and creative interns in all areas for hands-on, real-world work. We accept students for credit and non-students who are looking for professional experience. Learn management, leadership, and life skills. This is not your typical internship!
Videography/Video Editing: Assist on cool events, shooting, lighting, and production. Edit short, hip, web videos focused on fashion, beauty, and Chicago trends, events, and celebrities. Must be able to handle a high level of responsibility with professionalism. Previous live shooting and editing experience recommended (preferably with Final Cut Pro), but will train. A plus if intern candidate owns a Mac notebook.
Design: Must have strong artistic/design background and web design skills. Required skills: Photoshop, Illustrator. Recommended skills: ImageReady, Flash, Dreamweaver. A plus if intern candidate owns a laptop, preferably a Mac.
Photography: Assist on events and learn to shoot and edit digital photos: weddings, sports, fashion shows, corporate events, private parties, musical performances, etc. No experience required.
Deejay: Experience is preferred but not necessary as we offer extensive training. Dedication and personal goals mandatory. Sharp black suit, cell phone, and car mandatory. Extremely fun, dynamic, environment - hippest venues in town. Qualified applicants will engage in a 300 hour (15 hours per week minimum) and assist on at least 4 gigs. Must be available for Friday morning meetings. Ownership of a car is a bonus (we reimburse mileage).
Marketing: No experience required though design experience is a plus. Personal computer/Laptop required. Dedication and personal goals mandatory. Interns will be expected to complete tasks that assist in marketing efforts for the company and may include: designing eblasts, creating flyers, putting together press packets, research and development, analyzing data, gathering contact information for editors at publications, assisting with any internal events fig and attending events. Marketing internship is not a sales internship, if you are looking for something with more client relationship experience and booking this internship specification may not be for you. Assisting on 4 weekend gigs in other service areas required. (deejay, video, photo)
All internship programs require running errands, office maintenance and filing. We require the intern team to be staffed 9-5pm Monday through Friday and be availibe for weekend gigs.
Gigs give you hands on experience working with our trained staff on events- and they are amazingly fun and because fig media is primarily an event company, we work nights and weekends. We expect our interns to be flexible in working with us during these times.
Candidate must have detailed goals for the internship and be willing to play hard. This can be an intense environment and only the hungry and motivated should apply. You will get real hands-on experience and a lot of responsibility. Fig Media offers an internship program unlike any other.
