Revision3, the leading special interest video network, is looking for a video editor for online shows in development. This position will assemble production and post production assets for Revision3 shows. Candidates must possess a high level of self-sufficiency and creativity, while also adapting to the styles and techniques of Revision3 shows. This is a 12-month contract position based in San Francisco.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Edit/create content in a professional and timely manner
• Capture/manage/organize content to be used within the show edit
• Report to show producer for episode rundowns, elements, and delivery of rough and final cuts
• Edit/assemble a show from concept to final delivery each day
• Offer innovative and creative ideas that add value to our content
• Develop and maintain basic animation/motion graphics for each show
• Research, select, edit/mix music and sound effects from various web and local collections
• Capture, digitize and log various formats of tapeless media
Required Skills:
• 3-4 years related experience in a video production-related field
• Highly creative, self-motivated
• Extreme efficiency is a must
• Well organized, strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management, ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a quick turnaround environment
• Strong production skills with knowledge of current industry technology required
• Highly proficient at FCP7 and Premiere (CS5 or CS6), we use both
• Basic to advanced knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Apple Motion.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of video technology (formats, codecs, frame rates, standards, aspect ratios, over/underscan, action/title safe, etc)
• Knowledge and understanding of video I/O hardware (inputs/outputs) for ingesting and referencing all formats of video
• Technical knowledge and experience with current pro/prosumer HD video cameras and video DSLR's a plus
• Love for technology is a plus!
• At least a 2 yr degree in Film/TV/Media preferred
