The Manager, Forecasting/Sales Analysis will provide in-depth analysis and reporting to deliver information needed for strategic decision making and to support Company initiatives in the Digital marketplace.
Key functions include:
Key Segment Reporting - Publish weekly and monthly reports for TV and Film segments, EST and VOD, Domestic and International. Analyze and comment on trends.
Forecasting and Decay Curves - Develop and update Film New Release forecasts and decay curves on a daily and weekly basis, EST and VOD.
Film Catalog Reporting - Track Catalog performance vs. Budget and analyze and track promotional, seasonal, and franchise performance.
Competitive Analysis - Analyze competitive marketplace including New Release and Catalog title performance, studio market shares, etc.
International Territory Reviews - Develop and maintain business reviews for International territories highlighting retailer performance and profitability, media and content splits, title performance, etc.
Ad-hoc Analysis - Conduct analyses that fall outside the scope of normal reporting for Sr. Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc.
Industry Sales Analysis Research - Support the tracking of relevant external metrics and KPIs to help understand underlying trends in the domestic and international digital marketplace.
Data sources include Fox's internal data warehouse, Fox's internal Siebel system, and outside sources such as Rentrak. Work with Sales, Marketing, Finance and others to include specific information to help develop and support findings and recommendations. Work with IT and other related groups to enhance reporting capabilities. Constantly validate data to ensure accuracy. Develop reports within systems to streamline information flow across divisions.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business oriented field. Strong mathematical and problem solving skills. Knowledge of probability and statistics is desired.
• Strong working knowledge of and 5+ years experience with Excel. Ability to use macros to automate frequently requested reports. Skilled with various file types and conversion to spreadsheet format. Excel experience developing sales dashboards a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Power Point and data visualization preferred.
• Must have 3+ years work experience, preferably in the home entertainment industry. Experience with and interest in the Digital marketplace (EST, VOD, etc.) strongly desired.
• Must be able to generalize and make logical assumptions based on reasonable samples for given business situations.
• Must be comfortable with data mining tasks and detailed oriented assignments.
• Strong follow-through and prioritization skills. Excellent communication skills to all levels within the company. Initiative, self-motivation, and a strong sense of urgency are essential.
• Conceptual and working knowledge of database and data warehouse systems. Experience using database software (e.g., Access) and OLAP tools (e.g., Business Objects or Micro-Strategy) a plus.
