Position:
Sales Director for independent dance/electronic music label Om Records
Employer:
We are an established record label and lifestyle brand based in San Francisco. Our company signs artists, develops music products and markets & distributes releases worldwide. The brand is loved and respected internationally for music, events and design.
Job Activities:
Manage our execute sales campaigns for music releases and apparel
Manage and grow the label's global network of digital music partners, including iTunes, Beatport, Amazon, etc.
Manage and grow the label's global network of physical distribution partnerships
Manage the label's overseas licensee partnerships
Manage, build and execute direct to consumer strategies
Build distribution network for apparel and merchandise from the ground up
Manage and grow direct to consumer sales via the web & subscription programs
General Requirements:
This position requires someone who is extremely organized, a fast learner, and can manage multiple projects. Sales experience in the music industry is required. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who will work hard to build our business.
Experience Required:
Must be well read and versed in new trends in digital music and media.
Experience and strong relationships with digital music retail accounts
Experience with physical music sales and distribution
Experience with managing and executing marketing campaigns
Experience with apparel & merchandise sales & distribution a big plus
Must be a self-starter/creative individual with fresh ideas and an extremely positive attitude
Must have an outgoing, sales oriented personality
Must be passionate about music, design, fashion, etc.
Technical Skills:
We are an electronically oriented office. Candidates must have strong computer skills and proficiency in all of the following:
PC/Macintosh and network proficiency
MS Office proficiency
Internet proficiency
*Experience with HTML, web apps, Adobe Creative Suite a plus
Personal skills:
Previous experience working in the music industry
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Professional demeanor
Articulate and proficient in English
