Commercial work includes 2012 Super Bowl hits for Chevy, Pepsi, Time Warner Cable and Kia, 'Fire' for Jameson (shortlisted for a 2011 AICP Award, Australian Effects and Animation Award, VES Award and winner of the 2012 Gold Clio Award for Visual Effects) and Halo Reach: Deliver Hope (2011 VES Award winner for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Live Action Commercial and AICP Award winner for Visual Effects).

Background:
1-2 years experience configuring and/or maintaining a network of servers (render farms, clusters)

Primary Duties:
• Render Farm management
• Building new Linux and Mac OSX workstations and render servers and integrating them into the network
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PC hardware
• Installing, configuring, and distributing commercial software
• Administering Servers (cross-platform): NFS, FTP, Web, DNS
• Extending a software distribution system (based on rdist)
• Scripting tools to improve company/production workflow
• Preparing and loading frames onto high resolution viewing systems

Required Skills
• Degree or Training in a technological field
• Experience with RedHat Linux, Python, shell scripting (bash/tcsh)
• Knowledge of Linux and Unix operation systems is a MUST
• Great communication and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to lift and carry 25-50 pounds frequently and 60 pounds occasionally

Additional Skills
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D computer graphics apps (Nuke, Maya, RenderMan)
• C/C++ programming and familiarity with tape devices on Unix, and scripting tape creation
• HTML, Apache, SSL and knowledge of desktop environment customization
• Experience installing and maintaining Mac OSX
