This is a Full Time Job
The New Release Associate Director/Director, as a member of the Domestic Home Entertainment group, will be responsible for the overall management and commercial success of a portfolio of movie titles. Reporting to the Vice-President of Marketing, this person will also assist on high profile New Release titles and Innovation projects.
This individual will lead all aspects of marketing plan development, including: briefing, scheduling, consumer research, market/competitive analysis, creative development, media planning (including digital/mobile), consumer/trade promotions, publicity, and trade marketing. Strong communications skills and an in-depth understanding of retail sales will be required to successfully champion strategic goals and deliver short-term financial results. Should have strong understanding for home entertainment technology and trends including Blu-ray, Digital Copy/Ultraviolet, VOD and Apps.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Key background elements include:
• At least 5 years of brand management/marketing experience, including prior P&L responsibility and consumer advertising
• Home Entertainment and /or Consumer packaged goods experience preferred
• MBA preferred
Key skills include:
• Outstanding analytical skills, demonstrating an ability to recommend and implement business opportunities based on synthesizing data
• Experience evaluating creative and giving constructive feedback
• Strong understanding of Finance and P&L's
• Positive & passionate approach to work. A ''can do'' attitude.
• Adept multi-tasker dealing with multiple projects at once
• In-depth understanding of trade marketing/sales function
• Proficient at establishing relationships and leading cross-functional teams
• Flexibility, ability to work under tight timelines
• Strong attention to detail while being able to understand the big picture
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to be proactive, prioritize multiple important projects and work without supervision
• Advanced level expertise with core MS Ofifce applications, ie. Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Passion/expertise in film
• Understanding of Social Media and Innovation Trends (Second Screen, Apps, Mobile, Tablets)
