This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Human Resources Intern
Post production facility located in Burbank, CA seeking a Human Resources Intern for Summer 2012. Looking for an enthusiastic, proactive individual to join our team. Individual must express a desire to work for a professional production company and gain valuable ''real world'' knowledge and experience related to Human Resources. Student must be currently enrolled in/have completed Human Resources courses, or any related subjects such as Organizational Behavior, at a local university. Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience as it relates to the specific needs of the production company. Please submit a brief cover letter and a resume. This is a non-paid internship. No travel stipends will be provided.
Responsibilities:
• Create work flow policies for the various studio departments
• Convert existing policies currently in paper form to electronic files
• Research employee well-being/productivity blog posts or articles. Use findings to compose weekly company-wide emails with application of arguments/ideas in order to share knowledge and increase efficiency and satisfaction among studio team
• Supervise the selection process of incoming fall interns by posting job descriptions, maintaining correspondence with applicants, and assisting the Project Manager with interview and decision process
• Responsible for the research and creation of a company wide team-building event that will take place prior to the end of summer term
• Refine the company performance appraisal system
• Assist the Business Development Department with supplemental duties that may be assigned throughout summer term
• Various general administrative and clerical duties may be assigned
Skills & Competencies:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Strong oral and written communication skills are a must
• The candidate should be proficient with Macintosh and PC computers
• Organizational & Time-management skills are a must
Qualities:
• Ability to work both independently or as part of a team
• Having a friendly, outgoing, positive and congenial personality is a necessity
Requirements:
• Must involve a minimum of 2-3 days a week commitment
• Intern must possess their own laptop
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must
