Music Radio Campaign Salesperson, p/t flexible

We are seeking a friendy and funny voice to be a part-time inside-salesperson to sell radio airplay campaigns to independent and unknown musicians, bands, and singers. Artists hire us to get them radio airplay for their songs or albums, whether it's traditional radio, satellite or web. AM/FM radio listenership is actually growing, and has actually reached an all-time high this year.

This position is great for a seasoned salesperson who loves music and has experience in full commission sales, and who wants to move away from life-consuming corporate sales into something more fun and flexible. The salesperson just contacts the prospects (using leads and sources we provide), offers our free info to them, obtains their CD and marketing information, and over the next few weeks steps them through the different campaigns that are available. You'll receive sales help in the form of general sales advice, specific sales techniques pertinent to our campaigns, not to mention web promotion, help from interns, and a company name that is known by more indie bands than any other in the world.

This is a 20% full-commission sales position (no base salary), with average commissions of $1000 per sale for a new salesperson. Our top salesperson made over $80,000 each year in commission in recent years on a part-time flexible schedule, and now that retail music sales are increasing again for the first time in years, they are looking to do so again! There is no going to clubs required; the salesperson mostly uses outbound phone calls and emails. You must work from our Santa Monica office, at least 20 hours per week, and at least 5 days a week.
