Internship description: Opportunity to work with an up and coming company based around the UCLA area of Los Angeles, CA who is currently shooting both live and studio projects.

Employer description: Established in 2010 by a group of friends working in the field of professional film and video production, |Absolute Value| was designed as an outlet to collaboratively present our unified creative vision. Placing a strong emphasis on storytelling, we produce quality narrative films, documentaries, live events, and everything in between. We are currently getting ready to debut our first short film ''Hughes The Force'' on Kevin Smith's new television network S.I.T. Additionally, we shoot weekly live and studio footage for him and his new company SModCo.

Skills Required: Seeking a well-rounded, common-sense oriented intern mainly for post-production work that is also comfortable outside of an editing bay. Must have knowledge of dumping footage using naming conventions, syncing footage with FCP & Premiere, a basic understanding of file formats, versed in the Microsoft Office Suite, and must be cool and comfortable when potentially in front of celebrities.

Responsibilities: Dumping, naming, transcoding, and syncing footage. Getting coffee, lunch, errand running, etc. Keeping and updating records of shoots, audio, video, and more. Occasionally might double with assistant duties to miscellaneous crew members. There is also a possibility of assisting with the live shoots as well.
