General Summary:
The On Air Planning Coordinator's main responsibility is to build the channel's strategy, follow up on house number assignments, review that they are according to the grids, follow up on the delivery of materials, update and publish the generic and interstitial inventory and select the cable operator promos. The On Air Planning Coordinator reports directly to the On Air Planning Manager.
Responsibilities:
65% SET/AXN/SPIN Strategy - On a daily basis establish the channel's strategy to be followed by the Log Coordinators. The strategy should be established based on the grids and under the guidance and parameters of priorities, proximity and affinity provided by the On-Air Planning Manager.
20% House Number Management - On a daily basis review all the house numbers assigned by operations and make sure that they are according to the published Programming grids. A few days before the promo goes on air, make sure the materials are delivered and ready to air as scheduled.
10 % Update Generic and Interstitial Inventory - On a daily basis update the inventory of generics and interstitials making sure with the producers about their communication and time of exposure. After polishing the inventory, it should be communicated to the Log Coordinators for their use on the schedule.
2.5 % Cable Operator Break - On a bi-monthly basis choose 4 generic promos of 30 seconds to be scheduled in the cable operator break of SET/AXN/SPIN.
2.5 % Monthly emergency promos for Master Control - On a monthly basis send Master Control the generic, ID's and interstitial promos for emergencies.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Have a passion for the TV industry and watch a lot of television.
Have good communication skills and organization skills.
Be able to work under pressure and adapt to last minute changes.
Must be detail oriented.
Be able to multitask.
Fully bilingual (English and Spanish), both written and spoken.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of On Air Planning experience is preferred
Minimum of one year of Entertainment Industry experience is preferred
Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred
