Rental Prep Technician

Adorama Rental Company, located in the heart of Chelsea, is one of the leading suppliers of professional photo and video rental equipment in New York City. We've recently expanded and launched our new digital cinema department, catering to various production companies, television studios and independent filmmakers.

We are looking for someone to fill a position within the new digital cinema department as a rental prep technician. This is a great chance for someone to get hands-on experience with the latest camera systems and accessories and look forward to growth within the company.

Responsibilities include:
Checking gear for quality control, ensuring that everything is clean and fully operational
Pulling gear and picking them for daily orders
Troubleshooting problems with customers in-house or providing phone support
Taking rental orders and assisting clients with creating rental quotes and/or making changes to their rental order as well as general consultation.

The desired applicant must have knowledge of camera systems and workflow. Prior experience on set or in a rental house is a big plus, but not required. The applicant must be organized and highly detailed oriented. Must be able to multi-task in an extremely fast paced environment. Most importantly, the applicant must be reliable and live within the 5 boroughs. Flexibility with scheduling is also a big plus.
