Senior Broadcast Engineer

As a Senior Broadcast Engineer you will play a vital role in the overall success of our business. Reporting to the Head of Engineering you will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance and development of the company's technical facilities.

THE ROLE:
This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in the operation, continued growth and development of a state-of- the art post house facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
System administrator of our Linux-based storage network.
Network administration for general office and media networks.
Building, developing and supporting new servers and systems.
Support for office, Operations and Editorial staff.
Support Quantum archive and TSM format end.
Supporting a wide range of video encoders (Rhozet, iCR, Pipeline).
Video hardware support, signal routing and VT Deck maintenance.
Support of other TVT sites internationally, travel required.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Ideally 3+ years' experience in a similar working environment.
Network and firewall experience (HP and Cisco switches, iptables).
Sound knowledge of video compression technologies.
Knowledge and experience with broadcast technology (VT desk operation and troubleshooting, SDI and video signal control standards).
Mac operational and support knowledge an advantage.
Final Cut Pro support experience.
