DETAILS
Boutique entertainment publicity firm is seeking energetic, reliable intern with excellent communication & telephone skills, ability to multi-task and good follow through abilities. Duties may include assisting with general office business faxing, answering phones, filing, assembling press materials, working on special projects and event coverage.
This is a good opportunity for a smart and eager team player seeking a future in entertainment publicity. The qualified individual will have a passion for learning the business and developing a career in the entertainment public relations industry.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
*Seeking an organized and enthusiastic individual
*Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Cision and basic PC skills
*Individual who is prudent, assertive, and extremely professional
*Works with limited direction and garner results.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
*Building Social media marketing on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter
*Draft press materials including media alerts and press releases
*Maintaining database of media contacts, stylists, editors, etc.
*Monitoring and archiving product placement in publications
*Searching media outlets - print, radio, web, etc. for placement
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Proactive go-getter who is willing to be hands-on
*Ability to multi-task and work both independently and within a group
*Reliable, detail-oriented and extremely motivated
*Internet research experience and all social media knowledge
*Knowledgeable about pop culture, music, sports, fashion & beauty
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
*Minimum of 2-3 days
*Commitment of at least three months
*Must have their own computer
*Knowledge/prior experience in entertainment PR a plus-but not required
