News Desk Assistant (NEWS experience required)

A top entertainment news team is searching for a News Desk Assistant. This is a freelance, entry-level position that has growth potential and may lead to a staff position. We are seeking applicants with NEWS experience (internships, local station, etc.).

The News Desk Assistant has solid editorial news judgment and investigative reporting skills. The ability to forge solid relationships is a key skill-set to have for success in this position. The ideal candidate has a journalism background (network news, local station and/or university news experience is a plus). Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work various shifts and weekends when necessary.
