Intern - Social Media

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

The Media Intern helps execute social media strategy for creative and entertainment websites in specific areas of film, music, video games graphic novels, books and our most recent area, Lifestyle & Chicago. Not only does this person create the tone and pace of a community, but also this person finds opportunities to invite the right individuals to participate in the community.

We are looking for an aggressive, creative Entertainment Social Media Intern exclusively for the Chicago area to focus primarily on local Chicago happenings, news and events.

Must be obsessively focused on Chicago happening's related to today's films, music, video games and/or books & graphic novels and can promote that passion connecting social media tactics to corporate objectives and proving results.

Duties
* Manage activities for company website mostly on Facebook and Twitter.
* Actively seek ways to creatively and effectively manage brand-appropriate online content
* Help integrate social media with current recruiting and marketing initiatives
* Edit and manipulate HTML and graphics (helpful, but not mandatory)
* Assist project manager with special film, music and video game projects
* Monitor the evolution of social media, including the latest tips, tricks, sites, case studies, and happenings

Must be a creative thinker that is able to work 10-15 hours a week independently with reliable internet access from own location.
