Documentary Marketing / PR / Producing Internship

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Seeking a motivated and highly resourceful intern to assist award-winning documentary filmmaker on his next project, Miss You Can Do It. This is a great opportunity for someone to get hands on marketing & producing experience and to potentially come on board for future projects. We offer school credit.

Miss You Can Do It is a documentary about a pageant for special needs girls between the ages of 5 and 25. For one weekend a year this pageant makes wishing upon a star a reality for these girls and their family’s. The film chronicles several of their inspiring stories and the people behind the scenes who make it happen.

Primary intern responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain all social networking initiatives.
• Assist with corporate and national association research and outreach campaigns.
• Research and maintain database of network development and acquisitions executives.
• Assist with rough-cut test screenings.
• Write pitch letters and show treatments for new projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real experience producing and marketing an independent documentary.

Intern must be:
• Highly proficient in all aspects social networking for a business.
• Access to a computer
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in all MSOffice programs
• Excellent research skills
• Interest or experience within the special needs community a plus
