Intern - Music Department

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Duties:
Assisting music clearance administrator of major studio with completion of paperwork following use of music in a TV show. Contacting vendors for missing song detail. Confirming completion of vendor tax forms. Entry of song detail into music department database. Completing copyright reports. Confirming cue sheets. Sending vendor confirmations and license requests. Scanning and attaching documents to database records. Organizing files. This is not a creative position; pitching music is not part of the job. Candidate will be exposed to the business side of TV music only. Corporate office environment.

Requirements:
Knowledge with how relational data bases work (tables, queries, reports). Basic knowledge of music publishing is a plus. Business affairs experience a plus and/or knowledge of legal and licensing terminology. Meticulous attention to detail. Organized. Ability to grasp concepts quickly. Interest in learning the business side of music supervision. 20+ hours a week, preferably with a fixed schedule
