This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

The United For Opportunity/Invasion Group internship is a multiple disciplinary experience where interns will be involved in both the record label and artist management activities of the organization. The combined program of these two companies provides interns a much broader/deeper internship experience than your typical major label internship by offering greater responsibility and involvement in the day-to-day activities of the small organization of fifteen. Day to day activities include online marketing, tour marketing, street team management, retail marketing, radio promotion, publicity and more. United For Opportunity (UFO) is a new model record label/music distributor providing independent, motivated career-oriented artists and labels with the perfect partner to help grow manage and fund the future. The label launched in 2005 and this is the ideal opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help build the company and our artists worldwide. We have a very active new release schedule so there are numerous opportunities to be involved in a new release campaign (publicity, tour marketing, sales, street team coordination, online marketing). UFO is run by music business veterans, and you will be interfacing with people from all aspects of the business: A&R, distributors, publicists, marketing firms, managers, publishers, lawyers, artists, etc. Current artists include Enter The Haggis, The Guggenheim Grotto, The Abrams Brothers, Bill Laswell, Jess Klein, Zach Deputy and more. The United For Opportunity/Invasion Group internship program is the place to truly see how the industry operates and what it takes to develop a long-term career for an artist.
Minimum of 12 hours weekly required (During regular office hours: M-F 10:30am-6:30pm), more hours are available.

Computer: MS Word, MS Excel. Special consideration given to HTML and Photoshop experience.

Strong communications skills (written and verbal) including good comfort level doing business over the phone.
