Graphics/ Post Production Internship

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Students interested in graphics, special effects and post-production are needed for a graphics-intensive TV production internship starting in Jan/ Feb 2010 and continuing through May.
This is great chance to experience the day-to-day workings behind the scenes of an Emmy Award winning small broadcast TV production company, and to contribute your own work to its graphics department. Our company is currently involved in producing such series as Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations for the Travel Channel and Gourmet’s Diary of a Foodie for WGBH, among other projects.

Successful applicants must be able to commit to 18 – 27 hours per week (at least two days), and MUST receive college credit for this internship. There is a $25/day stipend. We are located in Soho, Manhattan, and our regular office hours are 10 AM - 7 PM, M-F.

• strong proficiency with photoshop, focus on masking, coloring
• strong understanding of screen resolutions, video formats/framerates etc.
• basic understanding of Illustrator
• basic Final Cut skills
• working knowledge of After Effects. Ability to navigate projects, import and conform media, understand basic keyframing concepts is a big plus

Also helps to have an understanding of film language, visual effect techniques, cameras, optics and lighting
Big plus if you can draw/paint!
