DIGITAL PUBLICITY & MARKETING PROJECT MANAGER FOR TV, DVD AND FILM PROJECTS
This role is primarily to develop and execute New Media campaigns for our LA based clients. The role is the first point of call for new campaign queries which are many and varied and will need to liaise with NY based departments including Social Media and Marketing support. The role will also be providing some administrative tasks:
• Field incoming Requests for Proposals from clients for TV, DVD and Theatrical online campaigns
• Visit local studios to screen films and read scripts for proposals
• Develop online campaign proposals (to include targeted editorial and promotional initiatives) and furnish to NY office for final review
• Manage LA client relations via conference calls and in person meetings at local offices
• Service trailers, clips and assets to syndicates AMG, ScreenPlay, etc and directly to Yahoo! Movies, Moviefone, MSN Movies, Fandango, IMDb and follow up for title page placement
• Pitch and secure exclusive Media and Editorial coverage on target sites detailed in our proposals (reviews, interviews, media coverage, spotlight features, “story” editorials, etc.)
• Pitch and secure Promotional coverage on target sites detailed in our proposals (giveaways, interactive contests, user generated promotions)
• Work directly with Social Media site staff at MySpace, imeem, Facebook, YouTube, BlackPlanet to gain featured coverage and facilitate special promotions
• Service campaign information to our database of entertainment sites, maintain relationships with these sites to gain coverage for our releases
• Regularly add relevant sites and blogs to the database, requires research
• Work with the Social Media, Publicity and Intern teams in NY as necessary to fulfill campaign objectives
• Work with affiliate design teams to coordinate proposed and approved widgets, applications, mini-sites, social media designs, etc
• Invite press to NY and LA Screenings (or provide screener copies when applicable) and secure timely review coverage, attend LA screenings for list maintenance
• Invite press to NY and LA Press Junkets, and secure timely editorial coverage, attend junkets when required, to help facilitate
• Coordinate and facilitate cast member phone and in-person interviews outside of junkets (when applicable)
• Regularly update clients with new coverage and pitched coverage for their campaigns
• Provide weekly updates and screenshots to clients (mainly on Fridays) in clients preferred format
• Set up weekly or bi-weekly calls with clients and their other indies/vendors to include but not limited to Publicists, Managers, Directors, Licensors, Writers and Producers
• Provide current campaign highlights for coverage on the ThinkTank Site (currently being reworked for 2.0 re-launch in December)
• Deliver client information for invoice processing to the NY team
• Identify and implement new technologies and targets for our campaigns
• Attend and facilitate local ThinkTank offline events (Screenings, Meet and Greets)
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have 2 years solid demonstrated experience as a Project Manager, or Assistant Project Manager
• Must have excellent organizational skills
• Must be able to manage pressure and simultaneous demands as well as prioritize tasks.
• Must be proactive and be able to anticipate our clients’ needs.
