Media Suite Engineer

Media Suite Engineer for the David Koch A/V Media Suite:
This person is responsible for the maintenance of all the associated television production and associated equipment in the David H. Koch Media Suite at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. This includes, (but is not limited to), cameras, camera robotics, audio/video router, digital audio console, in-house communications, audio/video signal distribution, media asset management systems, SAN and flash recording media, in-house display technology and associated fiber and VPN addressable systems. This position will be union (Local 1) and this person will be required to repair and operate any of the equipment associated with the workings of the media suite without regard to the location of the equipment.
Setting up the production system for all types of productions
• Configuring the system for single camera or full scale productions
• Patching and routing of all cameras, monitors and BSP’s (Broadcast Service Panels)
• Assist the Media Suite Manager in determining staffing for full scale productions
• Help coordinate the Media Asset Management System
o Program Media Asset Management System for program ingest
• Program the in-house channel for playout to house monitors
• Program camera robotics
• Shading of cameras for rehearsal purposes
• Transmission of programming both on web-based and broadcast based platforms for either audio, video, or audio/video content
Employee must have experience with:
• Operation Knowledge and Maintenance of Broadcast level digital audio and HD video systems including:
o Patching audio and video systems (both physical and electronic patching)
o Nvision 128x64 Router
o Sony 1600 broadcast video switcher
o Euphonix Fusion Audio Console
o Clear-Com Eclipse/Meridian digital communications systems
o Final Cut Pro Editing systems and fiber channel distribution systems
o Doremi Media Servers and Media Asset Management systems
o Innovision Camera Robotics
o Telecast Fiber Optic Systems
• Strong Mac and PC computer skills
• Needs to work well in stressful situations
• Experience working in a union environment
• Minimum 10 years experience in a production and engineering environment preferably with live television productions
