Intern/Runner

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

This is an internship/runner position for a Los Angeles based composer who is ultimately looking for a team player that can fit into our small team. This is someone who can wear many hats and multi-task under production pressure.

Duties will include but are not limited to filing, answering phones, maintaining kitchen and other office-based tasks, gathering lunch orders and getting lunch for the team. Duties can also include tasks such as beat-slicing rx2/RMX files, finding/creating sounds, and transferring audio files/session. So having knowledge of audio and DAW’s is preferred. We also expect interns to help with PR/social media sites such as myspace, facebook, website management, etc. Interns are also expected to provide their own transportation and be able to do runs/deliveries as needed (Intern will be compensated for mileage, general wear/tear).

We are looking for someone who can pick up slack in both administrative and technical duties. We understand there are many unpleasant duties that accompany this position, but if you are willing to stick it out, show self-motivation and pick-up, there is much that can be learned and a possibility for future employment.

DO NOT take this internship if you are looking only to write music under a composer, or expect to do high amounts of audio/music editing you will be greatly disappointed. While we welcome and encourage creative contributions, this is not a key focus of the position. You will be doing tasks mentioned above first and foremost. We want to be honest and forward about the position so that both parties can work together without any misrepresentation or false ideals.

While this position can be challenging, it has a lot to offer someone who is motivated to both learn and move forward in his or her career in film music and post-production.
