ALL-AROUND CREATIVE/TECHNICAL DIGITAL GURU
Regional cable network and online programming service seeks full-time video content editor to take on a broad range of digital video responsibilities, from editing and uploading to shooting and assisting in-house and location video production.
This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with a growing media boutique, broadcasting positive and progressive programming.
Responsibilities include:
TECHNICAL
Capturing and uploading video programming
Downloading video programming
Burning programs to disk
Preparing shows for broadcast and delivery: bugs, lower thirds, network IDs, titles and credits
Basic QC analysis and fixes
Recommending products to purchase (edit systems, cameras, tele-prompters, etc)
Setting up new production/post-production equipment
Down-converting and Up-converting between SD and HD
Executing program schedule and other online content using CMS software
Video Library management, as time allows.
CREATIVE
Editing shows from raw footage (dailies)
Generating clips and creating metadata tags and brief descriptions
Making editorial changes, when required
Creating simple network ID’s, bumpers, show intros and outros
Creating and editing video promos
Grabbing and uploading program thumbnails to website via CMS
Updating/Refreshing video content on our various social network pages
BONUS SKILLS
Expert level FCP skills
Ability to create 2D animation/motion graphics a plus.
Ability to light and operate HD camera a plus
Experience using virtual sets/blue screen
Updating of basic front-end properties of website pages when needed
Full Time.
Salary negotiable, based on experience.
This can become a long-term growth opportunity for the right candidate, who may be an experienced veteran, entry-level whiz, or anything in between. Candidate will start on a 90-day trial basis as an independent contractor with potential to become a salaried employee with profit-sharing, stock options and other benefits.
