Outsource Sequence Supervisor

Summary:
Oversees creative decisions for shot production executed with multiple vendors in multiple locations. Provides initial direction and ongoing feedback to facility supervisors in an effort to achieve the creative goals of the show Supervisor and Director within the production schedule and budget.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Acts as the creative lead for interaction with various vendors from the bidding process through final delivery
• Partners with the Outsourcing Producer to work within the constraints of the show budget while maintaining continuity of the look and feel of work that has been outsourced
• Provides concise direction and feedback to vendors
• Mediates discussions with the vendor Supervisor team, acts as an escalation point for the DD VFX Supervisor and partners with the Digital Producers to resolve various quality control issues
• Anticipates show challenges and identifies solutions with Production and show leadership, maintaining an ongoing focus on optimization and streamlining throughout the life of the show
• Identifies and utilizes tools and techniques which improve productivity and the quality of the work; avoids reinvention of the wheel or duplication of effort both within the show and across the facilities
• Collaborates with other studio leadership and promotes a positive and productive work environment
• Ensures effective communication between vendors and VFX Supervisors as well as between disciplines within the show and facility to ensure all critical information is communicated in a timely manner
• Provide shot breakdowns and assist with shot bidding as necessary
• Assist in providing quality control of stereo plates, assets, and elements to and from vendors

Education, Experience and Skills Required:
• Minimum of 8-10 years of either CG supervisory experience in feature film VFX required
• Strong working knowledge of multiple 2D and 3D software packages and pipelines required, stereo experience a plus.
• An experienced, proven creative eye
• Knowledge of the entire production process, including stage shooting and on-set experience is preferred
• Ability to understand client approval process, while building multi-tiered relationships
• Stereo experience is a huge plus
• Must have a sense of strong team dynamics and a positive morale generating style
• Ability to successfully delegate, mentor, and manage people and projects effectively
