“Love on the Line” is a contemporary Irish immigrant story, love story, and family drama, about two sisters from Ireland who came to the US 20 years ago. The project is really beginning to gain momentum and galvanize the support of the Irish-American community, including Gerry Staunton, the Irish Consul General in San Francisco, who has completely endorsed the project.
Irish actor Bryan Murray, who is one of the busiest actors in Ireland and the UK, is on board. He is highly acclaimed and was nominated by RTE, the national TV station in Ireland, in their annual awards for “Favorite actor in a TV series.'' He has also been featured in many theatre productions, films, and TV series in the UK and US. Bryan Murray is a household name in Ireland, so his involvement in “Love on the Line” will bode well for a strong Irish and UK distribution. Also on board is the award winning cinematographer Ricardo Gale, who also worked on the locally produced film, “Touching Home” with actor Ed Harris. We also have the Cannes Film Festival Grand Prize award winning director, Rob Nilsson, collaborating on this project. As Artistic Director, the Oscar nominated Geoffrey Kirkland has just been added to the team. He did the design for Angela’s Ashes and Children of Men.
The film is slated to shoot from October 27- November 18 in various locations around the Bay Area- major portions will be shot in Half Moon Bay and San Francisco. The Internship is unpaid, but we will make sure you are well fed. This is a great opportunity to gain invaluable hands on experience and work under very talented professionals. Background/experience in the film industry is preferred. The ideal candidate would be a smart and positive person who is passionate about film and prepared to work hard and learn.
