Magazine's next 100 artist and Chicago Reader's Best Artist for 2009), Shala. (formerly of the Universal Recording Group Qualo), Low B (formerly
of the DJ duo Hollertronix), Ace Watkins formerly of the RCA Recording Male Group Public Announcement), the phenomenal and world renowned visual artist Hebru Brantley, and Abbey Taylor (Jennifer Hudson's personal make-up stylist), the Movement. leads a team of forward thinking creative individuals continually making an artistic impact in the world. We are looking for individuals with similar goals and aspirations to join us on our quest. The Movement. looks to fill internship positions in the following areas:
Publicity:
We are looking for interns to assist with gaining exposure for our artists in print and online. Duties include organizing press kits, drafting press releases and developing relationships with various media outlets. Drafting/proofreading external communications along with conducting research and maintaining media lists may also be expected. Previous PR experience is required along with a strong written and verbal background.
Job Requirements: All qualified candidates should have:
. Knowledge of the Movement artist roster
. Have a passion for music and life
. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
. Independent self-starter with a strong work ethic
. Ability to take initiative and learn new skills on your own
. Access to a laptop
. Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours/week and receive college credit (non-paid)
He/ She must also possess the ability to work independently in a team environment to help achieve the overall goals of the company. The work environment will be fun and casual but also challenging and full of learning opportunities.
