Director, Participations (Project - 12 Months)
We are currently seeking a Director, Participations (Project - 12 Months) to join our Financial Contract Reporting & Administration group. This project role oversees and actively manages the day-to-day operations, workflow, and staff development of that portion of the Participations Department which is responsible for reporting on Feature and Television Product. This role is expected to propose and implement initiatives to consistently increase overall department-wide efficiency and standards.
The Director, Participations will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
*Review, understand, and analyze complex deal structures and corresponding legal documents.
*Develop an in-depth knowledge of an extensive library of titles and respective deal points.
*Actively manage workflow to ensure reporting deadlines are met without sacrificing accuracy or quality.
*Quickly learn new systems and suggest methods to improve them in order to increase department efficiency.
*Supervise, train, engage, and develop staff.
*Analyze, review, and approve participation statements and confirm their respective adherence to complex contractual deal points.
*Propose and implement initiatives to increase department-wide efficiency.
*Supervise ad hoc analyses and special projects. Lead projects through completion.
Desirable candidates will have the following qualifications:
*BA/BS Degree is required.
*Proven experience in and in-depth technical knowledge of participations environment.
*Expert knowledge of entertainment accounting principles.
*Expert technical knowledge of participations, including ability to read, understand, and analyze complex deal points and respective legal documents.
*Expert understanding of film distribution processes and methodologies.
*Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
