Production Manager

The Verve Music Group, the world's largest jazz recording company, is presently seeking a Production Manager in the company’s Santa Monica, CA location. The Verve Music Group includes the premier jazz label Verve, which focuses on traditional jazz; adult music label Verve Forecast; contemporary jazz label GRP; and Impulse!, which focuses on reissues of its famed catalog, which includes legendary artists such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and John Coltrane.

The Production Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of all print production and audio mastering for Verve releases in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
* 40% - Planning, scheduling, and monitoring all aspects of production and schedules to adhere to budgets.

* 10% - Maintaining constant communication between Creative, Marketing, A&R, and Production Departments, as well as any additional outside design personnel to ensure timely delivery of all projects.

* 10% - Supporting and ensuring company and department policies and procedures are followed fairly and consistently.

* 10% - Ensuring department standards are maintained in terms of quality and quantity.

* 10% - Data input and management of database and scheduling systems.
* 20% - Other duties as assigned by company management.

Job Requirements:

* Minimum five (5) years experience in graphics field required
* Completing tasks in a timely manner
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities
* Creative thinking
* Computer experience: Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
* Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Highly motivated and with a desire to work in a team environment
* Ability to keep information confidential
* Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed
* Must be self-directed and well organized
