Intern - Publicity

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Publicist:
Publicity intern will report to the Producers of the Production Company
Working under the supervision of the Director of Publicity, the intern will learn how the Publicity Department operates by:
-Assisting in, preparing for and executing the publicity campaigns for the Production Company

Responsibilities
Publicity intern will
-Conduct research on special interest media outlets
-Contacting the press to establish and maintain contact
-Gathering and organizing material for TV and Radio programs such as photos, press kits and synopses
-Providing press materials to media contacts and facilitating interviews
-Maintaining video library including copying, labeling DVDs and checking them out to press.
-Entering and updating data (mailing lists, contact information, etc) into electronic databases and other computer based systems.
-Preparing press clipping reports and assisting with ongoing clippings archive project
-Preparing press releases and press kits
-Generate correspondences
-onsite event support, including screenings receptions and special events; and miscellaneous projects
Skills

Must be flexible, energetic, punctual, detail-oriented, team players and have good organizational skills and a passion for radio and TV
Mac experience is helpful FileMaker Pro, Photoshop, Google apps, Microsoft word, Excel and image scanning
Good writing and telephone skills is a must
Knowledge of a second language, bilingual is a plus

Hours
Minimum of 10 hours (preferably two days) a week for a minimum of 12 weeks.
