Director of Marketing and Publicity

A high profile international film and television production and distribution company is currently seeking a Director of Marketing and Publicity. This position will be based in our Woodland Hills office.

The ideal candidate should be a passionate, creative public relations professional with a minimum of two years publicity experience in the areas of television programming and corporate PR for TV and advertising production companies and/or feature film campaigns and corporate PR for film production/distribution companies. The ideal candidate should be motivated, organized self-starter that is punctual and dedicated. We are looking for someone who is well-rounded; willing to tackle each task, large or small, with the same vigor. Good on the phone, better in person, and a great team player, willing and able to participate in the growth and ongoing success of a company on the rise.

Duties will include (but not limited to):
• Build brand awareness, look for creative ideas and business efficiencies.
• Coordinate film-marketing campaigns including domestic theatrical releases
• Create film-specific and general corporate presentations, sell sheets and summaries.
• Ensure marketing and advertising materials are created on time and prepped for markets
-Manage digital marketing including social networking (ie twitter and facebook)
-Manage trade show listings and advertisements.

Minimum Qualifications:
-2 years of marketing and publicity experience related to media or entertainment industries
-College degree, emphasis in marketing/business/film preferred
-Computer proficiency with MAC and PC, working knowledge of all MS Office systems, including Microsoft word and Excel. Knowledge with Photoshop a plus.
-Be able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
-Possess great organizational skills and be detail-oriented
