General Summary:
The Sr. Research Analyst will report to the Research Manager and provide support to the Channels in the areas of Programming, Marketing, Sales and Operations, as well as to the General Manager. The Sr. Research Analyst will also be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and update of periodic and Ad-hoc reports as well as the software of the research management; and for the development of mechanisms for the knowledge of the competitors, their products and strategies. Additionally, the Sr. Research Analyst will participate in the design and development of the strategic proposals as well as the analyses for the internal areas of SPE, with the purpose of to satisfy its needs and to sustain the competitive position of the group's channels in the market, according to the guidelines of the General Management.
Responsibilities:
15% To generate periodic analyses which allow identification of relevant tendencies and behaviors of the group's channels and competitors. For the region and in the areas where it is needed the support for the decision making process and strategy.
10% Generate Reports based on the internal and external requirements (English and Spanish).
10% Maintain direct relationship with information suppliers such as IBOPE, TGI, DirecTv and AGB, and respond to resolutions of technical problems.
10% Make recommendations according to projections of sales and information analysis.
10% Analyze procedures according to changes made by Management of marketing, programming and sales, in the audience.
10% To optimize processes in the extraction of relevant data for the analyses and reports.
10% To manage archive and control of products of these activities.
5% Propose innovative ways to analyze and present data.
5% Determine market share of the group's channels
5% To identify possible opportunities or corrective actions before behaviors registered by viewers in each channel.
5% To maintain updated all the data bases as well as to supervise its correct installation.
3%Participate in qualitative and quantitative market research and make recommendations to easy the decision making process.
2% To follow up on market trends in the region and to realize competitive intelligence activities
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of marketing concepts, research tools and analysis of market competitors
Analysis of measurement systems of rating, such as IBOPE, TGI, AGB, LMML, MediaMax and other sources
Proficient with SPSS and Excel
Ability to think outside the box, analyzed and gather information
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Fully bilingual in English/Spanish, knowledge of Portuguese is desirable
Excellent communication skills in writing and editing
Ability to communicate and maintain key relationships with internal and external clients.
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to multitask
Experience:
3 years of experience in market research statistical analysis.
Knowledge of Entertainment Industry experience is preferred (TV, Media, Entertainment, as well as SPE)
Education: Bachelor's degree is required with emphasis in Mathematics and/or Statistics; Masters degree in Marketing/Communication is preferred |
