Financial Analyst Worldwide Marketing Group

Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking a Financial Analyst for its Worldwide Marketing Group. The Financial Analyst is responsible for month-end close process, including completion of financial reporting package and supporting schedules for operational management and corporate.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and preparation of journal entries
* Review and comparison of actual results with Budget and Forecast estimates; preparation of appropriate variance explanations and highlight issues to senior finance management
* Preparation of Overhead reports and review of expenses
* Preparation and review of cash flow, balance sheet and other actual, budget and forecast schedules
* Evaluation of distribution costs and determining cost saving opportunities
* Preparation of analyses and special reports to enable management to monitor performance and offer suggestions for improvement
* Review participant share statements and comparison to actual results
* Preparation of audit schedules and requests
* Provided backup support to AP payments
* Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with key process customers: International Theatrical, Worldwide Home Video, Television, Worldwide Distribution, Worldwide Marketing and Corporate shared service departments
