Job Description:

The Marketing/Design Traffic coordinator must be highly organized, outgoing, amiable and work well with different personalities. Candidates should be excellent project managers and able to quickly solve complex problems. Employers also require applicants with strong math, computer, verbal and written communication skills. The position is deadline intensive, which means timing is everything. General knowledge of design, advertising and/or marketing is recommended. Close attention to detail and customer service and computer skills are a must.

Applicants should have one to five years of experience working in the sector.

The Marketing/Design Traffic coordinator works with the Marketing, Design and Web team to ensure that every project/event is handled from start to finish, create and maintain an archive of all marketing and design projects, and generally support the Marketing & Development Manager in the day-to-day administration of the Marketing/Design office.

The Marketing/Design Traffic coordinator reports directly to VP of Creative & VP of Marketing.

Daily Tasks:
- Coordinating each new design/marketing project from conception to completion.
- Communicate with vendors and freelance staff.
- Plan Marketing and E-blast calendars each month.
- Coordinate “Screenspace” Photographers/Directors for the monthly exhibit at Smashbox.
- Communicate with every department ensuring all their marketing requirements are met.
- Deliver all printed pieces/SWAG to the appropriate departments.
- Manage Contact databases for marketing purposes.
- Archive photographs and design projects succinctly for future reference.
- Produce photo shoots for company printed material and website.
- Collect and categorize data for the website and blog.
- Work with PR companies on events and sponsorships.
- Create and manage budgets on all Marketing projects.
- Strategize with Marketing team on projects and events.
- Source products and vendors for appropriate projects.
- Produce in-house events and exhibitions in Boston, LA and New Orleans

Key Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to write clearly, concisely and persuasively
- Understanding of digital media including social media
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a small team
- A demonstrated interest in and passion for film and photography
- Highly Organized

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a Design/Marketing Department
- Degree in Marketing or Similar (Preferred)
- Sound computer skills and experience with IT systems including content
management systems, e-marketing and CRM desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop/Indesign
- Basic HTML knowledge experience a plus
Salary: $16-$18 hour DOE
