This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
ORA TV is actively recruiting Interns! We offer a wide range of internship positions for college and graduate students interested in the digital television industry. The internship experience offers real-world opportunities to acquire important skills, learn the industry, and interact directly with top professionals in all departments of the network, including production, technology, marketing/advertising and development.
LOCATIONS: Internships are available in New York City and Los Angeles.
INTERNSHIP QUALIFICATIONS: Internships are open to college juniors and seniors, as well as graduate students. ORA is proud of its diverse environment, and we encourage students of all backgrounds to apply. You must be in pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an accredited institution and eligible to receive academic credit. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
Reasonable transportation reimbursement is provided as well as a small stipend for full-time interns.
DEPARTMENTS:
VIDEO/WEB PRODUCTION (New York City only): Project management with the goal of managing and fulfilling the process of video delivery from studio to web, including working with video compression tools, uploading/FTP and archiving, experience with syndicating video to social networks (i.e.: YouTube, Facebook), data entry and oversight that all videos have been titled and described correctly, ability to generate video thumbnails and intro slates. This role would expose the intern to online video programming, design and web development
DEVELOPMENT/PRODUCTION (Los Angeles only): Responsibilities include research and assistance to producers, writers and directors who develop new ideas for shows, work on current shows and are in development for upcoming shows. Involvement in social media for ORA: blogs, video descriptions and promos. Knowledge of talent, social media, news and current events required. Candidates should have strong organizational skills and interest in production (video, editing and shooting).
MARKETING/ADVERTISING: Work with our advertising and/or marketing teams, assist with creating proposals for potential clients, marketing research, promotional materials, plan and execute social media campaigns. Candidate must have strong writing skills, knowledge of social media space, and interest in sales and account management.
GENERAL OFFICE INTERN: For the candidate who isn't sure where his or her concentration lies but wants to be involved in digital media. Provides general administrative assistance to ORA staff across all departments. Must be flexible and have the ability to handle a fast-paced environment. Will acquire skills in all departments essential to ORA.
