PURPOSE:
Facilitate the financial reporting and accounting functions for the television production studio.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with all aspects of the financial reporting and accounting cycles
• Support Preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
• Identify Business Risks and Opportunities and valuation analyses of the Studio Operations
• Build Key Financial Assumptions for the Budget, Estimate and Long Range plan processes for overhead departments, and projects. Work with department heads and production management to ensure up to date information and accuracy
• Work with production counterparts at internal NBCU networks to apply matching principle for related partner revenue and expenses
• Coordinate with Production Management, Billings and Collections, and 3rd party customer contacts to ensure smooth collection of revenue
• Participate as liaison between finance, legal, hr, payroll, IT, international, production, programming, to coordinate procedures and collection of information
• Preparation of financial analysis, accruals and ad hoc reports to support financial reporting requirements
• Responsible for preparing and supervising account reconciliation processes
• Research and make recommendations on accounting issues in accordance with GAAP
• Assist in management of financial aspects for the production payroll and schedule systems
• Create and document procedures and controls as necessary. Maintain a process and procedures manual for studio finance and accounting
• Maintain complete and organized records and documents
• Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in accounting or finance required
• Minimum 2 years finance and/or accounting experience required
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
• CPA Preferred
• MS Office skills; proficient with Excel and similar databases
• SAP experience preferred
