Public Relations Account Executive

Midsize Los Angeles PR agency Konnect PR is seeking a full-time Account Executive with experience working with lifestyle consumer brands. This person will handle several accounts and should have solid media relations, a portfolio of past work and stellar writing skills. Please do not apply unless you have current media contacts and have worked in PR for at least two years pitching clients in the lifestyle consumer arena.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interacting with clients on a daily basis, pitching national and local media, writing press materials, creating public relations and communications plans, compiling comprehensive media lists, participating in company events, working trade shows for clients, traveling when necessary, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong writing, research and phone skills
• Bachelor Degree in communications, public relations or related field
• Minimum of 2 years working with lifestyle consumer brands
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a very fast paced environment
• Positive attitude
• Motivation to generate excellent press results
• Detail-oriented and well-organized
• Team player
• Ability to work independently when needed without constant oversight
• Experience working with Photoshop, Outlook, Microsoft Office, Media Databases (Cision)
